christmas

well, despite having to work on christmas, and having to have Seth drive me there because of all the snow we got, I had a wonderful first christmas with my husband and daughter! Wednesday, we went to my mom's. we celebrated as a familyat home on christmas eve. after work on christmas, I joined Seth and Eleanor at his grandparent's house. Saturday, I had my dad and joannie and my sister's family over to our house and sunday we went to Seth's parents with Em and her family. Eleanor has been pretty cranky. pretty sure she's teething. she can sit up by herself for a few minutes if you prop her. she still doesn't like her tummy time much though. She is getting soo big and she is loving the baby food! It is so fun to watch her grow and try new things!

Seth is gone fishing so it's just me and Eleanor this week. Saturday we went to visit Stacy and then spent the night at Auntie Em's house with grandma Rusch. we had Buca's for dinner (yum) and then watched a holiday movie. in the morning we went to Macy's to see the holiday display and the Santa. no tears/ no smiles. pretty much bewilderment from both Ollie and Eleanor. we had a very good weekend and are looking forward to Daddy's return on wednesday.

we had a wonderful thanksgiving with grandma and grandpa Rusch, the Brechts, and Marna and Mary. Emily was so gracious to host and we had a wonderful time!

Eleanor started getting sick last week. at first I thought she was just teething, but she had a very stuffy nose that progressively worse. no cough, really, but by saturday, her lungs sounded pretty congested and mommy was getting worried. I tried to get her into the clinic and it was booked. after talking to a nurse, we got an appointment for monday. we spent some time in the bathroom with the shower running, sucking out the nose, and got a humidifier for her room and she was getting quite a bit better by sunday morning.

So sunday, we spent the day at grandma and grandpa Tousignant's. my sister and her family made a last minute trip up from IL. Curt and Austin went to the Vikings game and we all went to the mall. it was so nice for Eleanor to finally get to meet her cousins!
