5 Christmases

Our Christmas celebrations started on wednesday with a visit from my dad and Joanie. We had a very nice visit, and a good dinner. Eleanor loved her Thomas the train set and color changing cars and more.

Thursday we got last minute stuff done, had a visit from Seth's aunt Jilann and an unexpected visit from the neighbor kids. Lets just say Eleanor has a little work to do on sharing yet.

Friday, was our celebration at Gramma and Grampa Rusch's. We started with brunch and then spent about 2 hours opening presents! afternoon was spent munching on snacks and playing games. and snuggling with babies of course!

11 days old already!

Things are still going well here, time is flying. not sure if it's because Ben is such a good baby or because this isn't my first rodeo, but it seems much easier this time around. He's still sleeping a lot, so I know this could all change, but we will enjoy it.

Big sister is still doing awesome! we try to do at least one mommy and Eleanor activity a day. today we baked cookies. She liked pushing the chocolate stars on (and eating them too) sorry I didn't get any pictures of the chocolate monster! we have been painting a lot and made some christmas ornaments the other day.

Today we enjoyed a visit from Gramma Rusch and Seth's Grandma and Aunt Marna, 1st time meeting Ben. Eleanor even opened up and wasn't quite as shy as normal.

Ben's appointment was last wednesday and he was back up to 9 lbs even and everything looked good. My appointment was thursday and I got my staples out and all looked well with me also. I have been feeling almost back to normal.

We are looking forward to the holidays and spending it with family.

Home Sweet Home

Hard to believe Ben will be a week Old already tomorrow! We got to come home friday afternoon and things are going really well so far. I feel better and better every day! It sure is nice to have Seth home with me to help though!

Ben is such a good baby so far... not much of a crier, just when he's hungry. Still sleeping quite a bit.

Eleanor is so proud to be a big sister. She checks on him first thing in the morning and loves to help with him. She went back to daycare today. Getting back to routine should be good for her and let us get a nap in and some cleaning done.

Benjamin William

mommy and her big boy

what a cutie

I tried to put him in the stocking but he wouldn't fit!

awwww

Daddy's boy

After an ultrasound on monday that measured him to be 9lbs, 10 oz, it was decided at my tuesday appt to induce that day. After about 12 hours in labor and an hour of pushing, Benjamin was born by c section because he was just too big. 9 # 3 oz and a 15inch head! 21 inches long. mom and baby are doing well and should be coming home tomorrow,, daddy and Eleanor are excited. sorry i dont have any pics of eleanor with ben...couldn't get a good one yet.

Thanks to everyone who visited and sent supportive messages!
